Monstruos Sirenas sound component integrates mobile biopolymer pieces that are activated by human touch. This installation utilizes potato starch as base for the biomaterials, given this is a widely available resource in Germany—the largest potato producer in the European Union (EU). The sound piece itself is a mixture of acquatic melodies and recordings of Domenica Spiaggia's voice enchantments, made in collaboration with Emanuel Strauß.
By combining materiality and sound, this project reflects upon what means to being human. Can art and technology be a means for boundaries to become tangible?

XYZ envisions bio-materials as a means to survive our world in flames. Biopolymers are bio-based synthetic materials–produced from renewable raw materials, degradable and, potentially, biocompatible. Our bodies understand these materials as our own. We become one with another, in constant flux and boundless. Entangled to such an extent that limits become intangible.
XYZ drifts towards different forms of coexisting, living and transforming with others, standing against compulsory heterosexuality by recognizing the diversity of nature— looking at other living organisms, not solely as a means to continue reproducing our existing forms of living and comfort, but rather, as a new and alternative source of knowledge from which to learn and help this burning world.
Garments are cassava-based biopolymers combined with wool fiber, dyed and sewn by hand.

Flesh to flesh/De bife corazón arises from sympoietic processes of making with others, not of others.
A symbiotic mixture of bacteria, yeast, and natural polymers, become a biodegradable and biocompatible matter—a simile meat material that questions current means of production. Flesh to Flesh/De bife corazón seeks to understant every unit belonging to a shared system of strings in constant relation to each other, to find different ways of coexisting and becoming with other organisms, whether human or not, dead or alive. It is a call to the multispecies, to adrift from the exploitation of non renewable resources and begin working with the original renewable life, making kin with the unknown and abrace the local.
